Enjoy the privacy of your own apartment in Sunset's Villa Complex. Each apartment contains over 1,000 square feet of living space. Each apartment is equipped with all appliances, including a washer and dryer.

Located just across the street from the main building Villa Apartment living offers services that include an emergency call system with staff response, continuous 24-hour monitoring, maintenance free environment, basement garage with storage area and elevator service. This living option is inviting to retirees who are able to provide for their own physical needs but desire services readily available.

Access to services in Sunset's main building for daily meals, activities, worship services, beauty and barber shop, and long or short term nursing care is readily available.


Sunset Apartments

Sunset Apartments offer the opportunity to maintain independence and privacy while enjoying an environment that supports daily life and social activities. All one and two bedroom apartments offer a living room, private bath and kitchenette. Apartments are unfurnished except for stove and refrigerator. All apartment are handicap accessible with wide doors for easy mobility.

Apartments are available through a leasing program. Villa residents receive priority admission if the need arises.

Intermediate Care

This level of care provides frequent medical and personal assistance to those requiring supervision with the activities of daily living. People best served in intermediate care are those who:

  • require frequent medical and personal attention
  • need regular supervision with activities of daily living including bed, baths and eating
  • need supervision in connection with moderate emotional disturbances or confusion
  • need help with positioning in bed or wheelchair
  • need supervision in relation to body functions
  • require oxygen on an as needed basis

Skilled Care

This level of care provides physical, emotional, social, and restorative services to those who require continuous medical supervision and continuous skilled nursing observation.

People best served in skilled care are those who:

  • need nearly complete assistance for most physical or hygiene activities
  • require relatively complex medication and treatments
  • need frequent and sometimes continuous supervision in connection with severe emotional disturbances or confusion
  • need potent injectable or intravenous medications
  • need aspiration to insure maintenance of a clear airway
  • require tube feedings
  • require oxygen on a regular basis
  • have experienced some minor or major surgery
  • have had recent fractures, such as a broken hip
  • are receiving special therapies

Hospice Care

Hospice care is available for those 25 and above.

The Haven - Memory Care

A secure unit, attached to the main building, designed for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia disorders. Emphasis is placed on meaningful activities as well as health care to maintain quality of life.

People best served in this unit are those who:

  • are able to do some care for themselves with supervision
  • require limited nursing care
  • need a secure, safe living environment

Sunset Support Services

Quality Service brought to you in the comfort of your own home.

Sunset Supportive Services, Inc. maintains 24 hours a day, 7 days a week answering service for use by current clients, staff members or potential clients. Employees are insured and bonded.

Sunset Supportive Services, Inc. offers Companion and Homemaker services within the community and Companion services within any care facility including Sunset Home.

Companion

The Hourly Companion performs tasks so that the client may remain at home. Companions are arranged on an hourly or daily basis, depending upon availability. They can assist with personal care, walking, meal preparation, dressing and various other activities which will help maintain the individual in their own home as long as is feasible.
Companion services can also be arranged for residents of local extended care facilities or local hospital to relieve the family when needed. The Companions can assist residents in extended care facilities by visiting with them, taking walks or reading books, mail, or magazines to them. This specialized attention provided to loved ones can help make their days more enjoyable.

Homemaker

The Homemaker performs tasks that allow the client to return to, or remain in, the home.
Homemakers are arranged on an hourly basis and provide assistance in keeping the home environment clean and comfortable. The Homemaker can dust, vacuum, change the bedding, laundry, clean the bathroom and other such activities to allow the client to remain in their home as long as is feasible.
